Valentina, the new Eau de Parfum by Valentino
This spring, Valentino pays tribute to today’s Valentino woman – sweet and sophisticated but rebellious at the same time – with Valentina. It is the first fragrance launched under the house’s creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli but developed by two master perfumers, Alberto Morillas and Olivier Cresp.
When I first saw the advertising campaign (and video) for Valentino’s fragrance Valentina featuring model Freja Beha Erichsen, I was fascinated; the ads were so elegant but flirtatious, classy but rebellious at the same time. No doubt Italians really know how to make a women feel desirable. Indeed, Valentina is a kind of floral fragrance with a delicious subtle blend of bergamot, orange blossom from Amalfi, tuberose, wild strawberry, jasmine and most impressively Alba white truffle (first ever used in fragrance note). The perfume manages to embody the many facets of the Valentino’s woman: both girlish with exuberance and adult with sophistication.
The fragrance will definitely be the must-have accessory of those who love Valentino, and for those who just love beautiful things. Valentina by Valentino is a gorgeous perfume packaged in a gorgeous feminine bottle. Those who love beautiful things will certainly appreciate the round, clear, crystal bottle and the three metal Italian bouquet of flowers in nude, white and ivory, a direct reference to Valentino’s couture flowers in the colors featured in the most recent collections. Not to mention its signature gold and black pearl top, reminiscent of Italian vintage perfume bottle.
Valentina is available as 30, 50 and 80 ml EDP with additional body lotion, body oil, shower gel and deodorant.
