Located in New York City’s trendy Chelsea neighborhood, Avenue Lounge is one of the places we recommend when traveling to New York for fun and glamor. Owned by founders of Marquee Nightclub and Tao Las Vegas, Avenue is known for its reputation to attract celebrities and well known-people.

The concept combines a bar/lounge with moving lights, a lot of seating and some eating. It is a tri-level place with a full kitchen serving gourmet “cocktail cuisine,” specialty drinks and an extensive spirit, wine and Champagne menu. There is a DJ booth, but no real dance floor, making more intimate than regular nightclubs and allowing patrons to converse with each other. Indeed as you walk through the door, you’ll fall in love with the design of the place. The decor is very nice making it a combined blend of contemporary modern and classical old theme (especially with the high ceilings). You’ll find rustic leather sofas and iron chandeliers, dark wood and dim lighting, vintage mirrors with two long tufted-banquettes lining the main floor lounge, and old wood staircase as well as different paintings that adorn the velvety walls.

In terms of music at Avenue Lounge, you’ll be pleased to know that each floor has a DJ spinning different music (from R&B to House and Top 40), allowing you to easily switch from one scene to another. With a chic interior, great music and international crowd, Avenue Lounge is a lovely place to party in New York City.
