The 2011 Pagani Huayra
home  lifestyle | admin
If exclusivity happens to be one of your criteria when shopping for high-end supercars, the 2011 Pagani Huayra might just be the gem you’re looking for. Only 20 of these Italian speed machines are being produced a year, which means that not every Dick & Jane on your block will have one parked in their garage.
If your other supercar criteria happen to include a substantial 700 horsepower and a top speed of 220 miles per hour, it really must be your lucky day. A pair of gull wing doors (just like the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG) adds just the slightest touch of flair to this ultra-lightweight (only 2700 pounds) racer, which also has to have two sets of breaks to slow it down. But the $1.3 million price tag might not be the only thing that squashes your dream of owning the exclusive Pagani Huayra: the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has denied Pagani the airbag waiver given to manufacturers like Lamborghini in the past, causing the Italian company to re-think the costly process of installing airbags just to make a buck stateside.
