The Grand Prix fever is in town for the weekend so it’s time to rev up your engines for the Canadian Grand Prix also called Le Grand Prix du Canada (in french). This year the 2011 edition will take place the weekend of June 10th to June 12th at the renowned and famous Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

This is going to be an amazing battle with top racers such as Mark Webber, Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso who will all try to defeat Hamilton and Vettel. Lewis Hamilton looks to continue his pole position streak on Canadian soil (winner of the 2010 edition) as he tries to catch Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel, who’s had a hot start to the year so far.

Here is the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix schedule of events as of today Saturday June 11th:

8.45am —— Ferrari Challenge qualifying session
10am ——– Formula One practice 3
11.15am —– Porsche IMSA GT3 Cup qualifying session
1pm ——— Formula One qualifying
2.30pm —— Historic Grand Prix
3.20pm —— Formula 1600 First Race
4.20pm —— Ferrari Challenge First Race

Sunday June 12th 2011
8.15am —— Fromula 1600 Second Race
9.05am —— Porsche IMSA GT3 Cup Race
10.05am —– Ferrari Challenge Second Race
11.30am —– Formula One drivers parade
12.30pm —– Formula One starting grid presentation
1pm ——— Formula One Race (71 laps including formation laps)

Jenson Button has won the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal after last-lap pass on Sebastian Vettel who finished second and Mark Webber third.
