The new motorcycle helmet, made by NewMax under license from Ferrari, costs around €249 and is available from the Italian luxury marque’s online store, the latest addition to a licensing empire which spans clothes, mugs, wallets and even a €1,208 chess set. An homage to the historic Maranello tradition, the Ferrari Helmet Style exudes luxury and oozes with presence but a helmet, no matter how luxurious, needs to protect your head.

The helmet is finished in a high gloss cover lined with satin-finished aluminium, making it even more abrasion-resistant and easier to clean. However, true aficioniados will be most pleased with the leather trim and embossed Ferrari logo on top of the helmet. The outer shell is made from advanced thermoplastic polymer with a high gloss scratch-resistant finish while the visor is manufactured using injection moulded scratch-resistant polycarbonate and offers excellent visibility in all conditions. The inside of the helmet is lined with two-tone Dupont® technical fabric that is both anti-allergic and antistatic.
