This winter, you will be able to sample some of the very best wines from France in New York City. Indeed, 23 Grands Crus & Grands Crus Classés de Bordeaux Estates are joining the First Annual Soiree des Grands Crus at 82 Mercer on January 27th 2011. This premier social event is a vintage wine tasting and an opportunity for clients to directly meet 17 dynamic Châteaux owners.

On that night, 82 Mercer Soho will be transformed into a modern Bordeaux Wine Cellar to host the new generation estate owners of the most renowned Grand Cru Classés de Bordeaux in France, as well as other luxury brands. They will share with you their passion and knowledge about wines and you will be able to taste some very famous wines while blindfolded (The Breitling Wine Challenge). Those who can identify selected wines win a Chronomat B01 or fabulous bottles, including some magnums and double magnums.

Some lifestyle brands including Hugo Boss and Born will also be on hand and Patissier and Chocolatier Francois Payard of FPBNYC will create chocolate pairings for the evening, one for each of six Bordeaux appellations.

La Soirée des Grands Crus is a one-night journey to Bordeaux where you will meet winemakers, share their passion and knowledge, and of course, experience their latest wines. The wines showcased at the event can also be ordered on site, via LeDu’s Wines Store. If you’re a true wine lover like me, there is no need to remind you to go.
