Lanvin for H&M: Men’s and Women’s full lookbook
entertainment  home | admin
Lanvin loves H&M; the collaboration between French Haute Couture house Lanvin and Swedish clothing company H&M has been unveiled with the official Men’s and Women’s lookbook. The men’s collection sports some very interesting clothes: some beautiful suits, accessories such as sunglasses, ties and bow ties, shirts and shoes, whereas, the women’s collection consists of 30 pieces and 15 accessories, ranging from clothing, jewelry, hats, sunglasses, handbags, footwear and even a lipstick.
On this collaboration, Alber Elbaz - Lanvin’s artistic director - explained that his aim was to add a luxury product to the H&M range, rather than taking Lanvin downmarket: “H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less,” he said. “I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.” adds Mr Elbaz.
The collection designed by Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz and menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver is going on sale in the US and Canada on November 20 and the rest of the world on November 23, 2010 in around 200 H&M stores worldwide. Fall 2010 is going to be about fashion at H&M…Let us know your thoughts!
