The new MacBook Air features flash-only storage, a large, multi-touch trackpad, an extended battery life and a high-resolution display. For speed and size, Apple has switched exclusively to flash storage for the new MacBook Air, with capacity options of 64GB and 128GB available. The new multi-touch trackpad is love at first click. It lets you pinch, swipe, or rotate to adjust an image, zoom in on text, or advance through a photo album. Try the four-finger swipe, swiping up or down to use Exposé and swiping left or right to switch among active applications. In terms of the battery, the improved flash storage leaves space for a bigger battery that will last up to 5 hours on a single charge on the 11-inch model, up to 7 hours on the 13-inch model and up to 30 days on standby mode. This is definitely an increase in productivity. You’re free to go off the grid knowing you’re still covered.
