Last year we reported on Art Basel 40 celebrating its 40th anniversary party. Every year, the world’s premier International Art Show for Modern and Contemporary works, Art Basel brings together gallery owners, artists and art enthusiasts. As the leading art show for specialists and collectors, this year Art Basel 41 opening edition’s to V.I.P.s on Tuesday night June 15th 2010 promises the usual array of artworks that range from blue-chip stars to statement-making installations in the fair’s adjoining Art Unlimited section, which displays large, pricey pieces in a museum-like setting. Then, amid the glamorous champagne-fueled escapades that define Art Basel’s extracurricular offerings, there are also the alternative fairs Liste, Pulse, and Volta.

With the art market shaking off its recessionary daze, the festivities promise to be vigorous this year. If you’re around Basel Switzerland, you may want to stop at the Art fair to visit the different exhibitions. Below is a preview of some of the works offered at Art Basel 41.
