In terms of performance, this plane connects city pairs on day excursion with exceptional efficiency; the Learjet 85 will fly faster with a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.82 and longer than any previous member of the family with a transcontinental range of up to 3000 nautical miles (5,556km); it’s designed to expand your reach and broaden your possibilities allowing you to fly from New York to London, Paris to Riyadh, Perth to Manila and Teterboro to Dublin for example.

On the inside, the Learjet 85 delivers a roomier design to provide passengers more all-around comfort, convenience and connectivity allowing them to stretch their legs as well as their personal productivity and performance. New premium amenities such as an Advanced Entertainment System (DVD player, HD monitors, XM Satellite radio capability), personalized Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting which includes individual table lighting for getting down to work or read and a beautifully appointed lavatory with external water fill guarantee to improve your experience aboard the plane. The Learjet 85 will be able to accommodate up to eight passengers plus two pilots with total baggage space of 130 ft2 including 30 ft2 in the interior meaning, it has 12 percent more cabin volume than the Hawker 900XP, and 21 percent more than the Citation Sovereign.

Designed to enhance pilot performance, this state-of-the-art flight deck ushers in new features to improve situational awareness, reduce pilot workload and increase mission flexibility. It includes a head-up display, along with enhanced and synthetic vision.

Bombardier’s new jet is customer driven, a clean-sheet design, and positioned between the midsize Learjet 60 XR aircraft and the super-midsize Challenger 300 jet. The Learjet 85 is schedule for entry into the market in 2013.
