Hermès is set to drop a thick collection of Clipper watches onto the market. We’ve heard for 2010, French high-fashion house and luxury watchmaker Hermès is adding the Clipper 44 mm Mechanical Chronograph watch to its Clipper collection. Indeed, the Clipper collection is the brand’s dive/sailing watches designed for the high-seas.

The new watch presented by Hermès features a 44 mm in diameter case, larger than most of the Hermès timepieces and it’s made from a very resistant stainless steel material. Inside the case, a mechanical self-winding Valjoux 7750 calibre chronograph movement, a marvel of reliability and precision, gives rhythm to time. As you would expect from Hermès, the Clipper 44 mm Mechanical Chronograph watch is coming with orange rubber strap like the brand’s signature color. Both the front and backsides of the watch case are fitted with glare-proof sapphire crystals. Four other models - 26mm and 28 quartz, 36mm chrono and a 39.5mm automatic - will also be available shortly with a price between $5,000 and $10,000.
