Terre D’Hermès fragrance for men by French-based luxury goods house Hermès explores the concept of Heaven and Earth “Terre” in French. This masculine edition introduced in 2006 by Hermès’ exclusive in-house perfumer Jean Claude Ellena, carries paradox notes of grapefruit and orange, with a heart of flint, pelargonium, pink pepper and black pepper, while base notes comprise soft and velvety accords of oak Moss, patchouli, vetiver and benzoin.

Terre D’Hermès smells wonderful to me; it does smell like the different elements of Earth and is great for warm weather, daytime or evening wear. Yes you can wear it with your Zegna suit when going to the office or with a v-neck t-shirt, jeans and loafers on the weekend. The scent is applicable on both occasions, thanks to its versatility. On the first application, the first notes are very strange between sweet and spicy but then slowly you’ll find heaven in your skin. Even after hours you applied the perfume, the scent still reveals its woody, smoky-dusty gunpowder flavors and it’s still very adorable. More than a pleasant surprise for me, the more I smelled it, the more I loved the character it left on my skin! Absolutely surreal and powerfully subtle, what more can you ask from a fragrance?

In terms of design, the bottle is geometric, square in shape and clear; in other words, simple and unpretentious. Terre D’Hermès is a very elegant scent with its straight composition of vegetable and mineral accords. The fragrance is for the man who is a poet by nature, someone who sees the extraordinary in the ordinary. “This is for the man who has his feet firmly on the ground, but his head on the stars”. I love every bit of this fragrance. Terre d’Hermès is available in 200,100 and 50 ml bottles of Eau de Toilette. French actor Clément Sibony is the model for Terre D’Hermès video and print advert.

Just a little side note, I am actually wearing Terre D’Hermès perfume today and believe me it rocks! You’re going to catch people following you; obviously just to compliment your smell. It’s quite refreshing!
