The 2010 new Maserati GranCabrio debuted last week Sept 15th 2009 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and believe me, the car is stunning. In all honesty, we can agree Italy is home to some of the finest automobiles the world has ever seen; and the GranCabrio is one of them.

Based on the GranTurismo, the GranCabrio represents the very essence of Masterati in terms of open-top cars. Indeed, the car shares the coupe’s Pininfarina styling, a spacious interior, great performance and seating for four. It is the first four seater-convertible in the Trident carmaker’s history. As Maserati says the GranCabrio is “designed and built for men and women who love to live life in understated - though sophisticated manner”.

The GranCabrio is powered by a 433 horsepower 4.7 liter V8 engine paired with the fluid 6-speed automatic transmission. If you drive the vehicle in sport mode, you are sure to experience its full power. This is a serious luxury convertible with the longest wheelbase on the market (versus its direct competitors).

Sale of the newest Maserati GranCabrio will begin this winter in Europe, with worldwide sales to begin around spring of 2010. Base price should be expected around $150,000.
