Springbank 40 Year Old Single Malt

True connoisseurs of Single Malt Scotch (a type of single malt whisky) will be pleased about the release of an extremely rare, limited edition Springbank 40 Year Old from Scotland’s Ian Macleod Distillers Chieftain’s Single Malt Whisky collection. Authenticity and tradition are the keywords for the distillers; indeed, two silver plaques on the front of the box feature all the individual bottle details, personally signed by Chieftain’s Rare Malt Manager: Antony McCallum-Caron. Very sophisticated and masculine, the bottle rests in a silver leather-lined, piano finished, solid oak box which has been stained black and lacquered 11 times to enhance the natural wood grain.
Distilled in 1968 at the highly prized Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown (Scotland), Springbank 40 Year Old Single Malt will be available to a very limited number of 398 bottles. I can tell you; this is going to run out pretty fast despite the high end price of € 800 or US $1,300 each bottle!
Must be drunk neat; adding ice to a whisky or scotch will dull the fine taste and wonderful aromas.
