On September 30th 2009, Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté will become the first humanitarian and Canadian space explorer when he launches as a member of the Soyuz TMA-16 to the International Space Station.

September 29th - October 1st 2009: Experience the Launch
The second half of the tour begins when we leave Moscow and travel by private jet to Baikonur, Kazakhstan, location of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. You will receive a behind the scenes tour of the Cosmodrome and witness first hand the crew preparations for launch. After you have watched the official report of the crew, you will depart for the official viewing site.
