Mercedes-Benz, a name that defines luxury cars is now launching a modernized and extended range of bicycles this summer with the Bike Sports 2009/10 Collection. The Bike Sports Collection line includes a number of different models to cater to individual cycling enthusiasts (adults and kids) whether it’s trekking, fitness, and racing, or just for fun.

The usual mountain bikes and the road racing bikes, which are limited editions to a particularly high technical standard, are well represented. For the more casual riders, the Mercedes-Benz Bike Sports Selection offers two choices: a fitness bike and a trekking bike with newly-improved features.

One of the new features of this Mercedes Benz 2009/10 Bike Sports Collection is the folding bike who impresses us with its unique patented technology that allows it to collapse quickly without tools. In the fully collapsed position, the bike takes up a volume of 31 inches by 31 inches by 14 inches (80×80x35 cm). The folding option allows you to take your bike wherever you go which is great for public transport now.

The bikes range from €299 for the kid’s bike to €4,999 for the limited edition carbon fiber racing bike. For its bike collection, Mercedes-Benz offers the same outstanding level of quality as for its premium automobiles. Now if you can’t buy a car you can at least buy the bike!
