Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance this Father’s day
entertainment  home | admin
This Sunday June 21st, famous Rodeo Drive will be filled with the most beautiful exotics cars for its unique annual showcase. Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance is an amazing place to hang out on Father’s day this Sunday in LA. It is Rodeo Drive annual Father’s Day tradition, where we celebrate automobile and fashion. The car show is free and open to the public.
This year highlights include: 1915 Detroit Electric - Brougham Model 61, the 2001 M-Pulse Solar Powered Racer built by engineering students at the University of Michigan. M-Pulse raced to victory in a 2,300-mile race from Chicago to Los Angeles. Also look out for the egg-shape 1957 BMW Isetta, said to be the very best micro car of its time, giving you 45 miles per gallon, how cute!
There will also be a cool 1957 Fiat Multipla; the Italian micro-van used to be one of the first taxis. A 1953 Fiat Topolino special body truck: Topolino means ‘little mouse’ something like Mickey Mouse (smile).
But I’m sure most of your attention will be focused on the blue royal, King Midget. This awesome model takes us back to 1946; when it was an inexpensive, affordable car anyone could buy. There will be many more surprises at the Rodeo Drive 2009 Concours d’Elegance. Over 100 cars will de displayed (steam, electric and hybrid models), enough to give us an excuse to play camera man on Father’s Day. Sponsors include the city of Beverly Hills, Ermenegildo Zegna and many more. Weather.com is predicting a sunny 73°F| 23°C for this Sunday in Los Angeles. And with exotics to die for on Rodeo Dr, it should be a Fun Father’s day.
