The new Autumn/Winter 09-10 Collection of Smalto is remarkable and we completely love the accessories. Today 32 year old creative designer Youn Chong Bak still follows the same attention to details. The finishing touches were therefore carefully developed by the artistic director: the shaping subtly modified by wider or narrower lapels, the notched collar facings, the open buttonholes, the construction of the inside pocket, the back vent, and the shoulders all retain their specific Smalto characteristics… “Even if they are imperceptible, it is this type of minute detailing that distinguishes a Smalto outfit,” claims the house’s founder. “In our workshops, the secret of comfort corresponds simply to the technique of an armhole: when constructed in a certain way, the jacket rests on a man, it does not ride up his neck or shoulder blade.
