Most acclaimed restaurant chef and PURE’s favorite Daniel Boulud has teamed up with David and Majy Sidoo in Vancouver to bring a new exciting dining location to this
cosmopolitan city.

Since the new partnership with the owners of Lumière already a dining destination for over 10 years and, a Relais & Chateau property, the restaurant underwent a complete redesign. Adjacent to Lumière is the new sister property DB Bistro Moderne.

Lumière décor concept brings this beloved Vancouver destination into its second decade with a fresh, modern appeal. The new look is in keeping with the emphasis on local seasonal cuisine presented in sophisticated, contemporary style. The 45-seat jewel box of a space, which serves dinner only, offers the comfort of a private residence with an intimacy of scale and attention to surface details. The bar area is intimate, backed in Zebrawood and lit by individual crystal pendants. Lumière is a contemporary French cuisine with a Canadian accent by Executive Chef Dale MacKay under the Guidance of Daniel Boulud.

Over at DB Bistro Moderne, Stephane Istel is your chef de cuisine; he will offer a seasonal menu highlighting the quality of fine ingredients where traditional French cuisine meets the flavors of British Columbia. Stephane began cooking in his native Alsace at age 15 and now just past his 30th birthday with an international culinary career. DB Bistro’s chef is more dedicated than ever to practice his love for cooking in Vancouver.
